  • Battle ship in bastrop?

Driving thru bastrop bay on Saturday night we almost hit a big arse metal boat out in the middle of the bay with no lights on. This freaking looked like it should have had a machine gun on the front if it lol. It was pulling a little Jon boat behind it. Any of y'all know anything about it?

What I got from 2cool is this guy has been moored at the Marlin Marina up Bastrop Bayou for a looong time. One guy thinks they finally kicked him outta there. It's registerd in Montreal!

Not to be too paw paw like, but y'all shouldn't be runnin' around without a Q-Beam either.

I don't run with headlights on all the time... you see better without them... A moored or anchored boat needs to have a 360 stern light on at all times.

Well I got lights on the front of my boat and usually have qbeam but I don't hold use the qbeam the whole time I'm driving at night. Bottom line is that forker needs some type of light. There was also 2 guys fishing in the middle if the channel with no lights on.

call the GW on him-the GW drivbes around at night quite a bit and will ticket him.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

The fact is, there are idiots out there. Do these bastages need to be reported? Yes, but that won't stop people from mooring boats and fishing without lights on their vessels. You just gotta be careful at night. It's not just stupid people you have to watch out for. I was running from the camp to the old KOA one night and luckily I had someone holding my Q-Beam for me. An entire tree (No, not THE palm tree) was floating with the tide. If I'd have hit it, it would have been a disaster. Many people are lulled into a false sense of security running at night where they think they know the waters. You just gotta be careful. Unexpected obstructions and idiots can happen at any time.
