Wishing you a speedy recovery. My neighbor got it from castnetting menhaden-that stuff is nasty and tough to get under control. Best to you.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Hope you are on the mend. I keep peroxide in my canoe at all times and pour it on anything that gets scratched - even a prick from a hook. I have known 3 people that got hit with vibrio and it is not good. Prayers sent your way my friend.

Take care, man. Never can tell what lurks in the water. I can say that it takes about 9 months to heal an injury to the bottom of the foot, and walking on it ain't no good ... lots of fresh white cotton socks for you, chief. -sam

I got flesh eating bacteria last year and got to the hospital a few hours after getting out of the water. They pumped me full of antibiotics for 9 hours and got it before it got too bad.
My leg was swollen up about 1 1/2 times its size in just a few hours and it hurt bad.
I didn't even cut myself. It got in through a blister that got rubbed on my leg from new waders.
Good luck and keep us informed.

I suggest keeping betadine or bleach onboard it kills more micro organisms than peroxideor or soap. Marsh Rat swears by mosquito spray /OFF!! Scrub up !!!
