I took about 10 pictures of the Moth but I deleted them. I didn't realize I photoed a rare moth...here are all and the only pictures of the Black Witch I have left.

From the quick research I have learned, they are common to the tropics and range as far north as southern Texas. They feed on plant matter so maybe a misquito bit Sandy at the exact moment it landed and Sandy freaked out...I don't know, we will have to ask Sandy a little more about his personal encounter with the flesh eating moth...LOL!
One thing for sure. For a big moth they are good fliers and they do remind one of a bat when airborne. We saw two at the same time that night...it was a creepy kind of cool.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBLbrJxGtro

With a good hand to help launch, retrieve and split up the operating cost I can pilot the boat and you can do all the stabbing. I'm not totally crippled but it's close. There are suddenly a lot of things I just cannot do at the moment.Originally posted by reeltime View PostWhen i got of the water at SLP this afternoon Sandy was leaving BR for NO.....When you gonna be able to hold a gig and beer at the same time

Hey Bert, glad you are feeling better!!! Great looking dog as well. I am going to try to get out there at some point this month at least once or twice....I need to drop off some more paneling and contribute some labor . With my daughter graduatingfrom high school and getting ready for college I have been freaking busy and broke. Great pictures!!
