Was this BS enforcement because of the complaining owners don't want "riff raff" in front of their houses?...ala Centex development at PointeWest closing the beaches to outside people...if it was, that's a real shame.

I have had a house in Sea Isle for over 20 years. That is the Galveston law, but we still drink on the beach we just use paper cups for beer or mixed drinks. U can drink on the other side of the pass but screw that.

This year I be damned if a Galveston police officer didn't pull up and write me a warning ticket for drinking a beer. Said there was no beer allowed on the beaches on the West end. I really didn't know this. The cop was really cool about it and said it has always been a law there but there just now enforcing it. The guy I was throwing shoes with was issued a warning citation aswell. Needless to say the horeshoes were picked up and we went back to the house to throw some shoes Just a heads up.

Bourban and coke or pop your beer inside the cooler and pour it into an insulated tall coffee cup with a handle and lid. Put your bourban and coke in the same type container for your imbibbing pleasure. Keep the cup in the cooler as you go to the beach to get it chilled up and ready to use. I'm a pro.

Dude! There's a couple of reallly sweet high spots down at the pass now. Maybe we could set up a horse shoe and washers area for after the morning topwater session. JT can set up mobile beer service from the marina, cause we gonna need that chit deliverd.

Heck, with this heat, maybe we should just go straight to the beer drinking and skip the fishing. Or..... With that bad arse new shallow water machine you got, we can start up one of my favorite sports......Shark hunting at the pass..... That boat is fairly fast, so we should be able to run them down. Now that's fun!!!!

I say we have a recall vote and vote out the city council, mayor, manager and all park board trustees. The reason:

"To ensure the safety of visitors and encourage more families to frequent Galveston Island beaches, the City of Galveston and the Galveston Park Board of Trustees have cooperatively banned alcohol consumption on public beaches and the Seawall, with the exception of licensed concession areas.'

I didn't know we are in GD East Freakin Texas-Halleluah jerks.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

A referendum would to it - to get rid of the no-beer ordinance. You should have a city charter to say that that works. Beer is good for ya.

If you don't like any of the slobs in power, recall them and force another vote. hehe.

that bote does run pretty fast shallowist...i had to hold on to my cap that said "OU Sucks", lest it blew off like my brand new longhorn visor when i had to go find and give muddskipper a prop in 45 mph winds last month.

and damm...shania looks good as my avatar.
