Wow!! Stealing is stealing. It doesn't matter who does it, juvenile or adult. It sux to have something just taken away, or vandalized. Too many people without jobs, no money, and desperation is starting to set in to these people.
I don't know if I could shoot a kid, but the law justifies the action if they are caught on premise. I tell kids all the time that the laws have changed and so have people. My neighbors teach CHL and they have full classes every week. They will tell you that the people signing up are fed up with lacking law enforcement and slow to react. It is scary as more and more people are carrying these days.

I say, "Take a kid fishing"...

Maybe if GPD drove around Sea Isle now and then, instead of busting beer drinkers at the beach, maybe the little thieves wouldn't be so brave. The west end pays over 40% of the city taxes and has 2 fire stations and 3 full time patrol cops (which mainly sit west of the end of the Seawall writing speeding tickets).

I'd hate to be responsible for taking of some young person's life over a jetski or any material object for that matter. I had some young kids break into my truck not long ago and stole a 9mm. I called the local PD and I had my pistol back within two days. I'm sure my story is one of luck, but they both dealt with the law vs me dealing with the law and guilt over shooting someone. This is just my opinion of course.

Check this one out,so dbarham has some garage door work on his house after the storm i helped him on his roof. Guy comes over to do the work noticed some pictures on the walls in Barhams garage and says hey i know that guy,well days later Barham tells me hey im missing a reel i had taken apart im like really.So we go threw a long talk and he cleans up good and can't find it.
The other day 5 months later barham is fishing and see's this cat out on the water in his boat waves him over for a talk and see's his reel in the dudes boat on a pole ,we are working on getting it back!

I'm pretty sure one of the hurricane blow through here guys took an extremely old reel that belonged to my great uncle. He saw it when I was rebuilding and said I didn't need help. Commented on it, I didn't say much other than I needed to clean it up after the storm, it was gone the next day with my secure area "breached". Unfortunately there is that element out there.

There were a couple others with the thief and barham was alone beleave me he would have said something if me or you were with him.Whats funny is the thief took the reel while barham had it broke down,so it had no handle and something else he tells me and a crack on the housing .That is how he new it was his !

Yes it was... and old red one before they had level wind. My dad still hates he didn't take it to the other house.
