  • Live from Blockade Runners! 6-7-10

So I've finally been dragged kicking and screamin' into the 21st century. Thanks to VJER, I now have an aircard. I'll be on here in the evenin' most of the week. Sittin' in the kitchen waitin' for supper to be ready. Got here late due to storms, but I got a lot of work done. I even fished a bit, getting completely spooled by what I think was a bull shark. Around dark I saw a kayaker strugglin' by and I offered to tow him in. He took my offer and he should be joining us here on FWE soon.

Poor Albert had a tough time adjusting to the temp here. I put a cold pack on the floor and amazingly he plopped down on it. I got a fan on him and he's a happy camper now. Conditions at the moment are calm. It's just a gorgeous night out here. Looks like 2112 and a buddy will be joining me tomorrow night. I had planned to be out until Wednesday afternoon, but it's looking like Thursday now since TMO is showing on Wed. evenin' with a bunch of materials. I'll be hangin' with Explorer21 at some point.

On another note, I've already called some of you. I've entered Blockade Runners in this weekend's Titlum-Tatlum Cup Tourney. Problem is I'm the only one from here fishin' it so far. The 2cool beach gathering is Saturday, but I'll be fishin' for the tourney on Sunday. If any of y'all want in, it's free. I've already put in the $40 per cabin entry fee. Just let me know.

With the aircard, my time on here is limited. Give me a holler at 979-215-1755 if you want to get in touch with me.

It's a freakin' beautiful evenin' out here! - Sandy

I reckon I'll stay out her or Terramar with ex21 until Thursday evenin' and head home Friday, then hit the beach for the 2cool thang around noonish on Saturday. When it gets too late, probably around 6am if previous gatherings are a measure, I'll head out to Blockade Runners. Weigh in for the tourney is noon on Sunday. I'm pretty sure I wasted $40, but Corndog paid me for the Mudda yesterday, so I think I'm rich for now.

I can come out for a while on Saturday, but a majority of my time will be at the beach.

Im looking forward and praying for calm winds Tuesday night. The tide for BR's and the moon phase looks perfect to for gigging Tues night. The tide will be slack from 6-8p and slowly turn to incomming at 9pm. The moon, what little there is of it will slip below the horizon by 6pm and not pop up again untill 3am. High tide is to peak at 4am. It dosen't get any better than this for gigging. If the winds stay low it should be a triple limit night.
The tide hight should be 1.2' above mean tide, perfect for my boat to cruise over the expanse of flats behind B.I.
I've poked several fish at the 22" mark but I gotta feeling Tues night will be the night I break that mark.

Sounds like BR has gone "high tech" Sandy. If thing's don't change I'll see you on the beach on Saturday.

Welllllll, My computer crapped out and I thought it was dead. Turns out that perhaps it just didn't like the weather out there. It's working here at home now. I was really hoping to be on more often out there. Report will come later.

Dang Bert, hope your doing better. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery. Are they going fix your collar bone? What happened if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks coe. I can use that prayer.
A road into my neighborhood is being resurface and I hit a sandy
spot in the road during a turn. The front tire washed out and I
busted my azz. My speed was a little to fast for the conditions.
It was my fault and a stupid move. I was at the ER yesterday and
I see a real doctor tomarrow. Hopefully it can be fixed.

Dang Bert! You had a rough few days. If you need anything, let us know. Plenty of folks near you, and I'll drive all the way up there if you need me. Just post up or call.
