It's not all that tough to move my classroom every other year or so, but this move is across town to the old high school. This stinks. Just thought I'd get on here and whine to y'all. Oh, and my new classroom has been used as a locker room for years. So yes, it literally does stink. LOL.

Thanks for the call Deano. I called you back, but you still haven't set up your voice mail. I left a message with DB on the off chance he was hangin' with you. I buggered up my shin something aweful banging it against a heavy duty dolly. I'm now sitting with it elevated with ice on it, trying to get rid of the hemotoma that popped up. It's a bad ouchie. Heckuva way to start my vacation.

It was pretty somber leaving my school for the last time. 6 years there, one bad, several very good, and one great. I'll miss the old place. I'm not looking forward to working at the old high school, but I guess that's progress.

I've got a loooonng history of shin problems. It all started when I was a kid with zero regard for my body. I'd play sandlot catcher with no shin guards and all sorts of stupid crap like that. I have several places on my shins where the doc has told me "One more injury here and you'll need a skin graft." because there are simply scars upon scars. I'm prone to hemotomas there as well. The good news is I got the ice pack on in time and since it was not right on the bone (the worst place on my shins), it dissipated nicely. For a while it looked like I had a golf ball in there. I'll be headed to the camp this evenin'.
