You're not missing much fishing wise Thomas. It's hot and a holiday weekend. It's better to just lay around, nap, and eat some good food....there will be plenty of days to fish!

I just did a recon down to the Mouth of the Brazos.

Peoples EVERYWHERE. Thousands at the beach today.

Water conditions in the river were okay but not great. Sort of an off color green.
Bait(shad) were there. Very light bird activity. Didn't see anyone catching anything.
Water along beachfront wasn't that great either. Dirty water up close. Surf very calm. Waves < 1ft.

Night time would be better.

Yeh its crowded Moon ,If one of them Arizona guys would come down here and check for pappers we might get are beaches back on these holidays.LOL

We got some bird action in the surf line-up down south here, but with 20,000 peeps on the beach, it's pretty much a mad house. Tuesday is lookin' up!

took a party of three today tide was rollin like a river through the pass
NO trout!!!!?????? several undersize reds and a nice Flattie
oh yeah about 500,000 people on the gal side beachfront!!LOL

Just got back from SLP 40 stuck cars and trucks. I drove right by them and just waived sucks to only have 2wd and be burried to your frame lol

WOW.. Guess I shouldnt complain about work. Doesnt sound like too good of a day on the water!!!!!!!!!!

The problem I have is I sit here at work all day and since i work on the water, its not easy to NOT fish. Especially when I often see schools of 300 to 500 reds swim by in the mornings

I will get on em tomorrow though. IF, I can find some water that there are not 1000 boats

I had a pretty good trip this morning -- it was really stacking up with crazies when I hit the dock tough. Make sure you get out early -- all the amateur drinkers will be too hung over to get out there before 9 or 10.

i worked too thomas. thought about maybe going this evening but the wind is pumping and offats has white caps. i'll wait for tuesday or wednesday am.

I had a different weekend than expected. My brother and I fished out of our home in Sea Isle Saturday and Sunday morning....we went with no real expectations due to the full moon and touristas but wanted some fresh fish for the family meals this weekend. Ended up scratching out 30 trout and one nice upper slot redfish between us for the two mornings. No big trout....all between 17"-20"+........our favorites for the table. We waded the north shoreline , sand and shell , no grass. What surprised us we saw almost no boat traffic both mornings before 8:30 or so and had about 1 mile of shoreline to ourselves both mornings. Go figure ?? Just so you'll know , he fished live shrimp and I stuck with a black/ chrome SS jr. both mornings........he limited both mornings and I caught 10 , 7 Saturday and only 3 Sunday....just for the record.
