Picked it up from Kroll's headed down 36 about 30 miles into my trip in the middle of nowhere BOOM! Blowout on the trailer tire, I put hazards on and move off the road notice a Valero up ahead under construction so I limp in and inspect the damage.
The buddy bearing is missing, spindle and nut are showing, license plate is gone...
Great stuck in the middle of nowhere. Called 007 he was in front of a computer and gave me some places to try. A worker came up and said there was a tire place just up the road. Unhooked ran up the road a 1/4 mile and sure enough, Damon's Tire Shop. They had my size tire in stock too!
Thanks to Ed at Damon's Tire Shop in Damon, TX I was back rolling 45 minutes later. Luck turned when I inspected the bearing and it wasn't damaged but noticed it needed replacing.
Made it to the Island by limping along there were some mad motorist I'll tell you that
Launched the Reel Estate and ran her straight out to old ICW did some tight turns ran great, ran it back at 6100 RPM doing 41 MPH which is pretty good for that boat.
I need to replace the trailer bearings on the axle that had the blowout the dust cap (buddy bearing) was lost when the tire blew out and I didn't stop or have time to find / get a new one.
