What "other" incident are you referring to?

No identification could mean he was shot and someone took his wallet. It would be helpful to know if a weapon was recovered. If one was it might have been a suicide attempt. The reporting is sketchy at best.
What was he doing at the pass? Sight seeing, fishing, drug deal, shooting himself? Also the daily article also says "the shooting left one man critically wounded". Where's the other man???

I've got a question that is probably kinda stupid and shows my ignorance when it comes to firearms. Since I am planning to fish alot this this summer and possibly even camp some at the beach or MOB, I was planning on buying a stainless steel S&W hammerless .38 sp. I like to wade out in the pass on the surf side of the bridge on the brazoria county side. Since I sometimes go late in the day during the week it can be pretty deserted down there even in the summer sometimes. If I come in from wading and there are bad dudes in my area, a gun locked in the truck may not do me much good. Would the gun still work if I had it on me and it had been in the salt water? Also could you just clean it with fresh water and then lube it and it be ok?
