I use both Symantec and Norton Anitivirus for my business. They are large, but worth it. I agree with bountyhunter, and advise you stay away from the free stuff.

Norton is a problem for me-I switched to McAfee. When I would buy the newest version online of Norton, it would never load due to old version and old was a PITA to try to remove 9at least for me). No problems since with McAfee."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I use avast free edition and run superantispyware about once a week.
the best protection is the user. Don't open suspect emails and don't go to unknown sites. I've never paid for virus protection and have never had a problem the two free programs I use couldn't fix.

That is the truest statement ever made, but as we have found most users can't take care of themselves. Hince the need for antivirus and antispyware software.Originally posted by Gilbert View Postthe best protection is the user.
