Wow.......might just sit back and pay the late entry fee if there is one , to see what I'm up against. There's a few on here I wouldn't gamble my money on if that was the deal......kinda scary to tell you the truth..." What's good for me ain't necessarily good for the weak minded ."

Why jsut allow fish from 15 to 25. Since its one trout, why not allow it to be any size?

Those are my thoughts exactly. If it's legal then is should count.Originally posted by Texxan1 View PostWhy jsut allow fish from 15 to 25. Since its one trout, why not allow it to be any size?
We (FWE) had a big trout tournament last year in May, maybe we can talk Coe into another this year.

Nope-no live bait, no go-too hard to keep beer cold while wading!!"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Big Trout normally during Winter months... Summer Tourneys are hard on fish and live weigh-ins...Originally posted by bountyhunter View PostThose are my thoughts exactly. If it's legal then is should count.

I have to disagree with saying that trophy trout are only caught in the winter. I don't fish much in the winter. But fishing in the surf-line, I have nailed a 19, 22, and a doozy of a 28 inch speck trout - all between May and October. Spawning females, they were.
Perhaps you're talking about the bays, when they get too hot in the summer and don't have much dissolved oxygen. The reds don't seem to mind as long as they can root for worms and crabs like wild pigs. Freakin' reds, sheesh. Fun to catch but I let them all go unmolested.
The idea of a summer leader board does sound interesting. I feel a 29-incher trophy trout a-comin' on! Nobody trusts them Bogga weights but it's pretty hard to mess up a tape measure with a good photograph. Y'all can gamble all ya want, 'cause I don't. Have fun out there however ya can git it.

If I happen to be in town if or when it takes place, I would fish it. I think the idea of only one fish with and only up to 25" adds an interesting wrinkle to the mix. There are a lot of tournaments out there where we can weigh in the biggest fish we catch, this is just a little different. Seems very similar to a black jack tournament where your looking for a 21 incher. I like the idea.
