Yes JT is the new owner of the West End Marina, PM him. By the way, there might not be any slips left, because the last time I talked to him they were almost sold out.
Send JT a Private Message-if sold out, an opening could come up.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. I sent JT an email and he called me this morning. Thanks for the suggestion. Encouraging from my perspective that he responded quickly -- gives me a sense that he is customer oriented. It will be nice to have a fully operational and well run marina in Sea Isle.
JT said he still has a few slips available. I needed a 25 footer, which he was able to accomodate.
Thanks to the West Ender's responses on this and prior post re: running larger boats out of the pass. Looking forward to chasing some offshore fish this summer and the convenience of a lift in Sea Isle.

JT's a great guy-very nice and will tell ya as it is. Look forward to a run out tandeming this summer-heck maybe even Coe will go out the pass this year and a triple boat run - that'd be fun (and safe).

I'll be going out whenever its calm... I got tanks, speargun, rods, and 4-5 eager deckhands all wanting a spot on the boat
I'm down for buddy boating this Summer.
I'm very safety conscious when I'm out there cause I have a single engine...
EPIRB, SAT PHONE, VHF, 500' of rope, flares, aerials etc... Water in jugs tied to float lines. I never deviate from my float plan I go over in detail with someone that's not going what rigs I'm going to and stick to it.
This marker contains a fluorescent green dye which spreads over the surface of the water so as to increase ones visibility for a pilot to see. The marker can easily be placed in a a life vest pocket or life raft safety kits.
They are only $20 last for 30-40 minutes and put a green cloud around you kinda like the one everyone saw in Top Gun when Goose & Maverick go splashing into the ocean.
Also available is this kind @ $6.00 I bought 4 of these and each one is hooked onto my 4 Type I life jackets
Just bought 4 of these "X-Pack Filter" System they have a desalinator filter that I ordered no power or effort is required to work this and its very compact and easily can be stored in a ditch bag. Muddy Water, Saltwater, Brackish it doesn't matter. The syrup they use that starts the process of osmosis actually provides nutrients your body is in need of during an emergency situation.
Gee Coe-I'm on your boat. Twins are great, so long as a fuel issue don't pop up. On 1 motor, I cannot plane out so it's a slow hobble back. I bring tools and my smart, mechanic-minded brother. Waves/wind/seas/weather have scared me pretty good a few times. I been looking at epirbs, but aint sprung for 1 yet and need to-they keep getting cheaper and are one thing that can save ya. Water is necessary as stated. Sat phone-cool. Dyes-cool. I have them flashing strobes for lifevests and prolly need new vests again. Thanks for the links.
I don't have a desalinator-how much is one?

Thanks for the offer. I will be down over Memorial weekend to do a shake down cruise on the new boat (25' Sea Vee with twins) with Rik Jacobsen to learn the electronics. After that, hoping to get out following weekend for a few snapper and then the at various times over the summer.
If anyone wants (or knows someone that wants) a classic 17' Mako in excellent condition with an almost new Yamaha 90 hp motor (around 100-125 hours), please let me know. Will look to move it in the coming weeks.
Hey Gumbo-you are doing it right having Rik take ya.
