Just a little tip I found out this weekend. If you don't put your drain plug in the Shoalwater it takes about 2 hours sitting at the dock before it starts showing signs of disaster.

I learned before the last time that you and I went fishing in a thunderstorm that if water gets up to the console, it drains into the pipe-chase and then you're screwed unless you put it on the trailer right then and there and pull the lower plug. Remember???
Yep.I had about 4" water in my battery box before we noticed my little mistake.
That's why the battery needs to be on the other side....the pipe-chase comes up thru the battery box. That's the only design flaw that I have found with this hull......and never forget the plug!!

I have had to remove the lower plug and get the boat up on plane to dump about 400 pounds of water out of the hull below the deck. It is a PITA to get the plug back in while the boat is going over the water at 35mph but it can be done.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
