ive always wanted to take one waaaaay out in the surf on flat, calm surf.

2 years ago we did this. A little spooky and hard to fish off of but we caught some fish. Launched them right off the beach in matagorda.

I run a WaveRunner with a cooler and poles on the back... Its a wade fishing machine during the summer!

Come to think of it, a jet ski would be killer for the surf when it's real flat. Just cruise along until you find bait, beach the sucker and jump out and start fishing! Of course, this probably wouldnt work on a saturday, but during the work week maybe

Nah they work good.. Just have to clean them out every now and then... We ride a friends older Yamaha in the surf and go jump the waves, take lines out etc...

I've gone from Pirates, out SLP and along the beach front back through S. Jetty and back to Pirates!

We have a couple jet skis but they stay at the lake house. Salt water sure is rough on them. One of them will hit 70mph all day.
