How long is the galveston ferry wait on saturday mornings?

  • #2
Longer than I want to wait when going fishing! Depends on the time and day.

If it's early there's a long wait until they have enough vehicles, later there's a long wait because of the traffic.

well, at 800 Saturday morning we practically drove on to the ferry.

Coming back at 4pm it took about an hour to get on the ferry.

Man, that was painful. I don't have a desire to go through that again in a while........

The ferry runs 24/7, every hour, every 1/2 hour during peak hours. If you go at 5 AM or 6 AM to fish, you get right on. Coming back from Boliver you have a hour to 2 hour wait up to 8 PM from now to end of good weather . Coming back is a pain, but East Bay and the Boliver Pocket are fine. If you are taking a boat, consider just running there with your Q- beam in the dark. Hey, TORQUE, You were at the seminar. I sat with ZORK, who I've met and fished with. I was "DOC" , the guy who fished the previous day until 11 PM and asked a lot of questions. Wish you had found me and introduced yourself.

              Oh I didn't realize.

I was sitting on the other side of the trash can to your left. I had my 14 yr old with me.

My son was a little bored, but it was a good seminar. West is a good talker.
