Been jumpin through hoops for school to get a Verification of Enrollment from school to go get my permit. Ordered the parent taught packet a while back and completed all the crap in the book and what not logged my 6 hours(took more than that to be honest.) of classroom time to complete the review in the back of the booklet. Well I FINALLY have all my stuff ready just gotta go take the test. We get there and she says that there was a page in the packet that says course 101 (parent taught) no longer counts as the education thingy. "Well you're gonna have to go online and order one of these courses and start all over." WTF!!! If it is NO LONGER available WHY send the packet WITH all the stuff needed to do parent taught. WHY cant DPS just put the page in and say its no longer available? NO send them the packet and hope they can understand it. Which you need a lawyer to understand the d@#$ thing.. So here I am POed cause i've spent all this time(about a month) gettin crap straight with school. WHY IS DPS SO STUPID!!!
Maybe if I go rub my clothes in the grass get a good tan walk in and ask for a drivers license in broken english, I'll get one.

It's not so much gettin on the road in a hurry. If it was in a hurry I'd have my license. It's just by the time I'm ready they're gonna make me wait longer cause they're to stupid to update they're system.

You should be able to petition this. I'd call the state and explain your situation. I'm sure there's a portion of the test you can retake or at least be credited back your money on the cost.
