  • Crappie on the fly

    My son and I picked up a few crappie this evening with our CCR fly rods.

    That kid can throw a loop.

        Hoooeeee, Sac-a-lait time! Best freshwater fish there is bar none.

              We call 'em "croppie" here but ya done gud.

              I wish I was trained on fly poles when I was a kid because by now I am way too old and goofy to learn to make a loop, cast, and strip. That's a real talent and I hope your boy likes that ... in parts of the upper coast they have nice Triple Tail close in with fair numbers, a heckuva nice fight on a fly line I should imagine. Heard of that before?
