cleaning station ?? pvc vs. starboard

Built myself a new fish cleaning table today
here is my question..
i intend to put half 1/2" starboard for the top...
my brother was telling me about a pvc that comes in sheets
has any body used this material for this? seems like it would be too slick
he says it is less than half the cost of the starboard
i have used and worked with starboard alot and really like it
i am going to build a set of doors for the front

really nice table. I think starboard is the way to go. They love to put starboard on whalers for that reason.

I noticed that they have some big 1/2" cutting boards at Academy in Galveston that are probably food grade polypropylene or starboard.

My fish table isn't nearly as purdy as yours but I used a large cutting board on the top of the frame I built. It works out pretty good and isn't too slippery.

I just glanced at 'em but maybe 18"X 24" or so.
