  • Blockade Runners Invite April 1st through the 4th

Hey Y'all, My dad is flying in for a trip to the camp. We'll be out there starting Thursday around 11am to Sunday around 5pm. Thursday night it will just be me and my dad if anyone wants to come spend the night. Friday I have 3 folks coming in from New Orleans and TwoMack (Tres) will also be coming in from Bastrop. We'll be sleeping 6 and that's our capacity until Sunday unless someone wants to sleep in a cot, then we could make room for one more.

There will be plenty of good times going on. If you get a chance to come by, I'd sure love for my dad to meet a bunch of y'all. I can pick you up at the dock if you're boatless.

I don't plan on any work going on, but I might start on the porch railing if I get a chance. Hope to see some of y'all out there! - Sandy

Geez, anytime I even think about going that way the wind goes to 20 mph. and the tide drops to 2 feet minus zero. I dont want to hex that party.

Winds will be whippin' out of the SSE at 16-18 for Thurs. and Fri. Going SW at 10 for Sat. and 10 out of the East for Sunday. At least that's what the weather liars are saying for Jamaica Beach. Come on out SB.

Dang Coe, it's been a loooong time since you were out. I think you'll really notice a difference in the place.

          No promises though.

Well, Dad flew in this afternoon and VJER picked him up from Hobby. We had dinner with he and his wife Lynne at La Casona here in Angleton. A trip to the grocery was in order. Gotta have provisions for a 4 day trip. Once home we sat out on the front porch with a coupla beers and cigars, remembering times long past at the old camp.

We'll be headed out of Angleton around 10am tomorrow. If anyone wants to come out, come on. My friend from New Orleans has hit a child custody glitch. Doesn't look like he's coming, but we'll know tomorrow night.

Sure do hope some of y'all make it out to meet my dad. He's my favorite person along with my mom, so I'm biased, but I think you'll agree that he's one helluva guy. He's the one who infected me with salt water and gave me a deep and abiding love for the bayou, and of course the camp. I had a friend tell me that he didn't want to come out and get in the way of father and son time. Nothing could be more ridiculous. My dad always thrived on all the different characters that came out to the old place. So let's show him some characters y'all. I'll be out of interweb range starting tomorrow, but you've got my phone number. If you don't, ask people here and they have my permission to give it to you.

Saturday looks freakin' awesome! - Sandy

Hey Sandy, I want to do some fishing Saturday. If anyone in the bunch is up for something that morning I could be at the dock at day break. Let me know or give me a call. Besides I'd really like to meet your dad!!!!

It's in titlum tatlum right across from KOA. If your going down titlum its the last camp in the bayou and its also the only camp on the right side. Maybe the flag will be flying from the dock.
