They are NOT running. Nope. I would stay away. Especially the pass. I would wait at least another 2 to 3 months...yep...that's what I would do. If you are going to HAVE to fish for the drum may I suggest throwing nothing but topwaters...

Naw, they ain't running here, or at Port A, or at Matty either. Too cold. Any dinks are worm infested. There's no bait or crabs. The good season is July. You have to have a special TPWD "Big Ugly" stamp just to catch the last of the endangered species anyway. Leave it to the pros like me and Tranny!

Reports of Black Drum have come in from the Jetty but I agree the run isn't here JUST yet.

From what i hear were you live that is true.....but its still lukewarm here....this weekend i hope it's red hot because I'm going offshore and may stop and catch some black drum on the way.
