I did not write to Her about the destruction of ocean life, I wrote to Her about the possibility of shutting down recreational fishing. I guess they read it the way they wanted to. Typical political bull chit!!!!!!

    Dear Friend:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about the destruction of ocean life. I welcome your thoughts and comments on this issue.

I understand the importance of protecting our oceans and conserving our natural resources and wildlife. Biodiversity is critical to the health of the ecosystems that support life on our planet. We all share the responsibility of preserving the world's natural resources, so future generations may enjoy them as we have. It is essential that America manages its oceans and fish habitat responsibly. As Congress works to update our laws governing fishing industries, we must work for a science-based environmental policy to preserve the delicate balance between natural resources and public needs.

I appreciate hearing from you and hope you will not hesitate to keep in touch on any issue of concern to you.

    Sincerely,
    Kay Bailey Hutchison
    United States Senator

Let 'em just try to snatch a 9 foot trident gig from my hands.
I guess I'm going to have to start carrying body bags and bricks on board.

maybe we could start a coalition to stop the harvesting of the beans that are powering the PETA fools and the farts that keep coming from Washington. Or better yet, let's start a hunting club that targets PFWMF (People F'ng With My Fun). I know where to start...

I guess that it would be more important to have some serious letters written in petition form, so that we can forward with thousands of signatures to our representatives.

You should all check out Scott Hickman on face book. He is traveling the Gulf these days trying to fight the early stages of this in the offshore arena. Was on the outdoor show recently and discussed some of what's happening, and is very vocal and trying to lead an opposition group.

Still struggling to understand how anyone can deny that we are a species of hunter gathers, but I guess that they will start teaching my kids that there isn't truth to that myth about humans??

                Beandaddy:

If it had a drop down "box" for topics, make sure you don't put "Environment"-that is for the PETA/WWF azzholes. Oh those pretty fur seal pups-they look a helluva lot purdier after a club has busted their skull open!!-I mean PETA folks.

                  here's what I emailed:

What do you plan to do to alleviate the increased job loss/unemployment due to closing areas (inland and offshore) to fishing and where will all the newly unemployed folks, (those folks working at bait camps, tackle factories, sports outlets, boat mfg., boat dealers, mechanics, guides, sporting goods stores, etc.) going to find jobs if the Obama Interagency Ocean Policy Taskforce closes recreational fishing in certain areas (which such area closures will likely be heavily influenced by radical animal rights groups such as PETA and WWF)? How will you sustain housing markets along coastal and lake areas due to declined property values which will be adversely affected by such Interagency Ocean Policy Taskforce brought about by Obama and the policies of this taskforce under heavily influenced animal right groups and the environmental defense fund (if those folks had their way, we'd be eating "soylent green" or all be Vegans)? Why is no economic consideration being considered under his "Interagency Ocean Policy Taskforce"? Why do PETA, WWF and other animal rights groups so heavily influence the decisions of Jane Lubchenco of NOAA? What about the effect or input of many millions of fisherpersons opposing this agency and its apparent policies to close waters to fishing without examining the economic impact? I look forward to your response. Thank you, Gerald Niekamp, Recreational Fisherman, Texan and your supporter.

I just now got a response from Ron Paul:

                      Dear Mr. Garrison:

Thank you for writing my office regarding the recent National Ocean and Great Lakes Policy proposal released by the Ocean Policy Task Force. I share your concerns, as you have outlined them, that the task force failed to adequately consider recreational fishing as an important component of its proposal.

I have been an aggressive proponent of the recreational fishing, fighting against season closures and TAC reductions. I have aggressively advocated for TAC increases through the transfer of TAC to recreational from commercial fisheries and for programs that will reduce fish mortality and enhance stock. While I do not think the issue is as simple as "recreational is good and commercial is bad," I certainly have been, and intend to continue, aggressively fighting to enhance the opportunity for recreational fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast.

                      Sincerely,

                      Ron Paul

Maybe Paul should have won!! We'd be WAYYYYY better off than what we have now. Term limits for these lifetime politicos would be great also.

I notice that also and azzho sound purdy much the same-like Pelousy and Beotch sound alike and Obama sounds like stopped up toilet with stuff running all over the floor. Ok, enuf-my B.P. (blood pressure) just went up thinking about them.
