sweet, I've been wanting to re/overpower mine. Since I put a t top on it the old 90 barely pushes it. I was thinking 150, but 200 is better. lol

Capt Randy Rogers down here by SPI used to run a Carolina 24 or so, and the steering was never a problem. They do tend to "crab" a bit, big whup, it's different just like steering a cat is different.

Check the transom real good for stress cracks before ya buy it. Five grand is a heck of a good deal.

Usually it's the dang wiring on them old botes!

          Hmmmmmmmmmm

If you take gregr's carolina skiff, put some flares out on the side and hit 60 you MIGHT just have invented a new flying machine lol

I flipped a carolina skiff once lol... Turning a corner at about 30 and BOY DID IT FLY LOL

Dumped me over and took off flying into greens marsh

Scared the helll out of me lol

Never did find those dern rods

That boat was one of my favorites, built like a TANK

          Chip, here is an ideal

Get it and have gregr put a tunnel in it for you. I rode in a CS 19 with a tunnel in mansfield.. Shallowest boat ive ever been in, we left a RFL in the mud lol

I agree it might be a good buy and serve your purpose but it might have implications with USCG , TPWD and your insurance company if you choose to insure it.......you are only allowed a certain percentage of over powering a boat ( the HP rating is stated on the hull ).....you might want to look into it...GOOD LUCK with your boat search...

If it is rigged with too big of a motor, run a way!

I have a 258DLV with a 4-stroke Suzuki 150 and it will run 50mph without getting winded. That rig should come out of the water with a 200hp.

Couldn't be any wetter than what I have now. Is there a jack plate on her? She ought to run Skinny as H__L. With that raised platform you shouldn't get as wet though.

Would you rather have a boat with a tunnel?
