FishWestEnd 2010 Tournament Schedule

Possible Tournament Dates... please post up if you know of something that conflicts.

February 20- April 4 - Black Drum Tournament, weekly color codes, longest fish caught, released and photographed wins.

April 24 or 25 - Black Jack Tournament (Red, Flounder & Trout) closest to 21" without going over. Fun for weekend warrior as it levels the playing field.

May 22 or 23, 2010 - I'd like to have something family oriented perhaps a live fish turn in that goes to the sea center, MuddSkipper I could use your expertise here. Kids would have largest fish any species with trophies awarded to them.

SLAM Tournament (Child & Adult divisions) setup just like last year. We had great feedback and everyone seemed to love the setup we had last year. AROUND the 4th of July perhaps weekend before or after.

August - September - 6-8 week long Bull Red Tournament setup similar to Black Drum with color codes and longest fish caught and released wins.

October 9/10 or 16/17 - Redfish Tournament - I might want to expand this and make it a two day tournament? Thoughts on that??? Staying with a 1 day tournament scratch the 2 day idea.

Post up any conflicts your aware of. Perhaps OTHER tournaments are already scheduled on any of the dates mentioned above if so which ones.

If you notice they are family oriented to be honest I won't be fishing any of the family tournaments because its to hard for me as I have to remove myself from my team etc to help get setup. If I had more help rather than just me than maybe I'd participate. Having Bailey, Cody & Mike helping at weigh in last time saved me.

Also, only 1 day on the redfish tourney.

Okay, then we just move the dates of our family tournaments to around the holidays but not on them or the weekend they happen to fall on...

lol yes all Saturday's are conflicts!!! A kids tourney is a great idea.

There will always be conflicts, but you can't make everyone happy. The weekend before or after would be much better!

I made the changes no tournaments on holidays this year...

My only suggestion for the blackjack tourney would be to go by weight and not length. In my opion the length is too subjective and could cause some conflict. A weight is objective and not subject to interpretation. Otherwise I really like the list of tourneys and plan to participate in as many as possible.

Will any (other than Drum CPR) allow live bait? I prefer the "easy" fishing, soaking a bait while enjoying a beverage. Care less if I win, just like to fish, imbibe a little and hang with the group.
