              I don't keep fishing logs...but i have waterfowling journals from the year '99.

              Here's a little of the info i keep...and yes it does help pattern birds...and i'm sure fish.

              Date
              Hunters
              Place hunted
              Setup location
              Equipment used
              Birds harvested
              Wind speed/direction
              Weather
              High/Low
              Moon phase
              Misc. notes

                I just write my info on my calender and look at my past years for the month because I'm a computer moron.

                  I still hand write all of my journals...i don't keep em on some computer. I like going back and looking at my journals whenever i want and reliving past hunts.

                    Oh I don't trust the computers. It's also saved on an external HD and sent to my gmail periodically.

                    One of the best things about the MS Word log, is I have a satellite pic of the area, with notes scrawled on it, embedded into the report.

                    I can also hit "Ctrl + F" and search the whole document for key words to look up something specific.

                    Ain't technology great.
