  • ITC Fire / Clean Up

In the wake of the ITC fire the eyes of the public are now shifting to the clean up efforts. I have been keeping in contact with Bob Stokes, President, of the Galveston Bay Foundation over the last few days.

We shared the same concern with the firewater and runoff going into the Bayou and into Galveston Bay.

The issue we are facing is that there are samples being taken but nobody is telling the public what they are testing and where! The need for an independent study is crucial. While we believe ITC should be ultimately responsible for this test, we believe an independent study is necessary.

The details of which you can find in the link below:

I wonder if the rise in gas prices during the last week has anything to do with this.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

No. Drop in the bucket compared to everything else Sandy. Expect $70/bbl oil soon due to OPEC cuts and US summer demand. Sorry, I like paying more because it makes my company more $-yep, I'm somewhat selfish, but also had hard times when oil price collapsed.

But JT and Longhorn are correct. ITC will file Ch. 11, lawyers already held so-called "Townhall Meetings" scaring locals to make them file suit on a contingency fee basis. sad deal all around-many folks will lose their jobs and have a hard time finding new ones. The folks making "claims" are looking for a money grab and being bullchitted by their newfound attorney. Geez, we breathe the sheet from the Shipt channel area/Baytown daily and I've personally been choked out of fishing by TX City from a plant's discharge on 2 occasions-yet I'm still alive and breathing.

You live in Deer Park or Stinkadena or baytown, you chose to live by chemical plants and refineries-you made a personal choice, so live with it.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Thats right, be happy and don't ever complain about paying high oil and gas prices.
