  • Saturday Morning - West Bay Report

Snuck down to Jamaica Beach Friday night and got in a Saturday morning wade fish session on West Bay. Pushed the dock at 5:30a and was greeted by some pretty thick fog rolling in from the north. Took our time and got to the spot just as the sun was coming up.

Caught a couple of trout on bone Super Spook...one going 22". Switched to plastics and caught the reds. Falling tide was moving pretty fast, winds were light, water was gin clear. Back at the dock by 10:30a.

Great finish to the Thanksgiving holiday week!

      WTG!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Good fish ! I can picture in my mind the stillness of the fog and water as you chug to your spot and ease over the side to see the sun slice through the fog . The eerie quiet heightens every sound and unseen splashes signal awakening bait activity . The line zings with the weight of the super spook as it disappears into the fog and then the distant splash as you thumb the spool guessing when it will near splash down. The rhythmic cadence of the unseen plug ‘s splash and knocker is cut short by a violent eruption as the line tightens and the rod bows . Fish on ! Another morning to reflect and give thanks to your creator .
