It seems I’m not seeing as many posts in the NEW POSTS forum . Not from diminished posts necessarily, but , the posts not staying in the NEW POSTS forum as long . Or is it my imagination .. . ā€œ running away with me ā€œ ... Rolling Stones

I think most people are just using Facebook more than they used to. I am not a Facebook member so I still post here occasionally. I guess I need to fish more so I can post more reports.

I didn't know there was a "New Posts" forum Henry.

Several of my favorite people here only spend their time on Facebook now. It's sad because I don't get the facebook thing. I can barely operate it. Some people left because of the shenanigans of a few who thankfully have found other venues for their "fun". Give it time, tell your friends, and beyond all . . . . post when you want to.

Just a few of the people I miss the most are WillieP, Bountyhunter, Oleander Kayaker, Primer, TRP 150, and 2112. Hopefully they come back soon.

Kenny, how can you complain about a CHARITY event? That's pretty rough. I know you've got a better heart than some people think, because I've seen it. I'll always be thankful your your help post Ike, and I always defend your curmudgeonliness. That will always continue, but dang man. Please try not to complain about charity stuff.

The NEW POSTS sits below HOME in the banner at the top of every page , Coachlaw . I’m saying new posts or recent posts don’t stay in new posts category very long . It returns to the originating forum . If I don’t visit WEA for a week or two , I won’t see a new thread because it’s not in NEW POSTS long enough .
I guess Facebook has gotten big , but , it’s not a dedicated fishing forum !

I had honestly never seen that before Henry. Don't worry, I've called those guys. I haven't been fishing since Christmas with all the awful weather. I've been on the water, helped at the tournament, etc. but haven't fished.

Ah.. I wasn't sure what you meant by the new posts forum either... thanks for clarifying. It's funny because I have a shortcut on my computer that takes me directly into the west end forum, so I have never noticed the "new posts" under the home button. Not sure if there is some server related reason of why they new posts are not populating this page as long.

On a slightly related note, I also thought the general posts have been a bit slow lately.. perhaps because people have not been fishing as much lately? I know I have not had a chance much since the freeze. Boy started baseball already so my weekends have been busy.. but since we did go to Costa Rica a couple of weeks ago and I caught some big Mahi .. I will share a couple of photos Biggest was 55" and getting a taxidermy reproduction made. I will certainly be posting more reports and photos once I can get some fishing in.

I just haven't gotten out on the water as much as I'd like so far in 2018. Between work, family and repairing most of the outdoor plumbing at our bay house after the recent freeze, it's been tough to get out.

I did go down this weekend in hopes of putting the new rig through its paces...but woke up Sunday to N winds 20MPH+ which made for extremely unsafe conditions.

Hope to file some reports in the coming weeks if the weather will cooperate.

Lots of people are viewing but not participating now. There are posts that have more than 300 views but only 2-3 replies.

Maybe the lack of interest/post is because the photo of the month selection committee continues to shaft and ignore the entry of the very, very lovely Laureen Tartaglia?

I may limp out to Galveston with my kayak , Friday , to fish .
