  • Prayers for Anegada and the Islands

Those of y'all that have been here for a while are familiar with our member Walker. He has brought us many wonderful stories and pictures from Anegada, British Virgin Islands. I've been down there twice and enjoyed the people and their paradise. I've been paying too much attention to what's going on here to notice Irma, until today. It seems Irma is now a Cat 5, and scheduled to hit Anegada squarely tomorrow.

I'd like to ask everyone if you could take a moment to say a prayer for the safety of the wonderful people down there. - Sandy

Been thinking about them since last weekend. Irma looks ugly.

Our family's prayers will be to those in it's path, especially those on the islands. Reports are that St. Martin and Anguilla have been flattened. Hopefully Walker can give an update on how Anegada faired once Irma passes.

Prayers... Barbie & I were in St. Kitts & Nevis in June and it looks like they are getting hit hard.

No news from Anegada. The BVI were center-punched. Reports that I am hearing from Tortola are very grim.

Here is a video of Irma passing through the BVI that I compiled from radar images. The winds near the eye were above 200 mph.

I saw hurricane harbor didn't fare too well. I saw your post on Facebook Walker and very pleased that your slice of paradise came out relatively unscathed. Prayers for those in other parts of the islands that were not as lucky.
