Unlike usual, we really were lucky during the storm. My boat is cleaner than it has been in a decade. That's what 5 days of Harvey power washing will do. The house, vehicles, plants, and beach are all super clean.

Yeah, I know what happened. It's an incredible human tragedy and will take years to fix.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View PostHouston & the surrounding area got it bad.
I heard water probably reached the new store in Sea Isle, the buoy on the corner floated.
Golden Triangle got it bad as well.
I've never seen that much rain from a system before."GET OFF MY REEF!"

Yes, only got 5". My brother Dillon just got moved after a fire in May loosing everything, now lost everything again. Shop is open and we have removed everything and is drying. We are awaiting insurance adjuster and such but working. Had a few other issues with house and vehicle but we are very lucky. We put our pity crap behind and got the flounder boat out and helped from Friendswood to Port Arthur. I feel so blessed to be typing this right now, have food in abundance, and knowing I have a place to put my head down and not have the worry about my next day of survival will bring. I have seen things I wish I could erase from my memory, but I also have a new renowned hope and peace for mankind! We all helped one way or another, I've never seen such team work no matter if you where law enforcement, military, black, white, brown, green, blue, Texan, yankee, rich or poor! It truly opened up a part of me that's been numb for many many years now. Praying for everyone affected by Harvey, also for the people risking there lives helping their NeighborsOriginally posted by kenny View PostYour shop flooded Bryan? I'm really sorry that happened. What does it look like it will take to get reopened?
