              I'm not sure they were really fishing, didn't see a single Columbia PFG shirt.
              Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

                          I was probably there with my family. We used to fish the croaker run like a lot of other folks. Old turned wood handle calcuta poles with a few eyes and a Shakespeare or Penn direct drive reel spooled with dacron braid. We used a lot of double drop leaders so we could catch two big croakers at a time. I remember filling two ice chests with croakers and dropping one off at a negro church on the way home....
                          We also caught a LOT of flounder, trout , and redfish there and at the pass. I also never saw a filleted fish until about 1970.

                              wow and we thought there was a lot of fishing pressure now! great pics...i'm sure my dad was down there in the late 50's and early 60's..........anybody got any more....cool
