  • New Meeting Spot Suggestions

I like our meeting spot at Hooters, however it's not conducive to having speakers.

We would like to get guides, vendors (sponsors) and other guests to come and talk to the group during our meetings.

The direction for the meetings in the future will still be very casual and relaxed but I want to try and find a venue where we can enjoy dinner and drinks but also listen to a potential speaker and have an open discussion.

The meeting location has to be centrally located between Galveston and Houston and should be a 30 minute drive or less (hopefully) for most.

I am open to any suggestions. I'd prefer a restaurant that has a private room we can reserve for the evening.

Not sure about private rooms, but that place gets packed on Fridays and Saturdays, especially with any type of sporting event. Parking goes into the grass lots around it.

My wife said this place has a party room. The food is pretty good too, we eat there at least once a month.

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

This could be a good option. I saw the photo of the room, looks adequate.

Heartbreakers-I'm purdy sure they have a 'private room'. Ask JT.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Brisa sounds good, we eat there all the time. there is a big yard in the back with washers and other games too. they have a couple good size rooms there that would fit us.
the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
