I've tried so many, and I've liked a lot of them. Chicken Boy has such a variety. But what I always go back to for soft plastics is the old school stuff of my childhood:
If the bait in the trout's bellies is fish, I use H&H Cocahoe Minnows tandem rigged for extra fun. If they're chasin' scrimps, I go for the same setup with H&H Sparkle Beatles. I love them both in avocado with red flecks. But the clear, white, and other colors find their way on my hooks sometimes.
The last many weeks, I've also been using very small baits like crappie jigs with teeny glass minnows on them. They've been killer lately.
