Hit the water to light winds and clean water Tuesday morning, and hungry fish caught a limit of solid trout 17-25", released 2 24-25" fish. Fish were 1.5-2 foot of water over sand with lots of bait activity.
Wednesday I was delayed by thunderstorms but got out around 7:30 and the bite was little slower but we managed 7 trout and 5 reds, We caught 10-15 keeper reds just a kept a few for a half shell dinner for my family and my buddies.
fish were over a sand with a a lil scattered rock/shell mix with mullet in the area 1-3 foot.
Thursday, went out solo to a pumping east wind 15-25mph, found a protected shoreline with a mud/shell bottom 2-3 foot of water and caught redfish till I couldn't stand it, it was almost every cast and they were mostly 24-29" and heavy, took 3 back to the boat with me for a quick pic and set them free.
Fishing is good right now, if you can handle the wind and weather, the fish are active, and though you may find every excuse in the world not to go whether it be wind, rain, water condition..etc get out there and put in time and be smart and safe about it, my theory is always go and take advantage of putting in time, cause you never know what conditions you may wake up too, and I try to put myself in every scenario I can so I can relate back.
