So my 9inch stiffy blade needs sharping. Just not as sharp as it once was. Swiped it a few times on their sharping rod but mr redfish seemed to tough. Theres a place on the strand that says they can sharpen them. Anyone go there? Should i just chit can it and buy a new one?

You should be able to sharpen that blade . Maybe there is a sharpening system you can try that would be more efficient for you .

Nope, don't pay anyone for something that can be done at home. Stropping rod won't put a new edge on it, you need a sharpening stone or soap stone.

Work Sharp makes electric and manual knife sharpeners, belt sharpeners, and guided systems, and knives durable enough for everyday use.

Use it all the time best sharpener ive used.

That looks nice and easy. Do they take alot of metal out of the blade? I did notice the website said sold out. Did you buy it at a sporting good store or home improvement store?

i got mine from basspro, my dad got it as a Christmas gift last year., and they don't seem to take much if any metal off the blade, but ill tell you this after about 2-3 min of sharpening I can shave with it if I wanted too, def worth the money imo!
