Man I tell you, as I was driving over the causeway watching that glassy moving tide it was all I could stand not to just call the office and hit the water. Did anyone get to enjoy the Bay today?

Nope....but enjoyed the exact same weather yesterday. Launched at 7:30 in my boat and set out the trout decoys. Met a guide friend on the water in his boat (he had one client) and we drifted along together and fished/drifted a light breeze from 6' to 18' drop-offs. I ended up with 6 nice trout and a keeper red. I think they had about twice that many. OK....I really don't have any trout decoys.

missed the bay with boat in the shop.
Went to range with my son and once the fog burned off his 223 and 308 and 45acp and 9mm found some full silhouetes,
I spotted.
Came home and tended my bees and now building woodenware for their new homes.
Great to be alive but would have been better on the water. Gotta get me some of them decoys John."Nobody's so poor that somebody can't get rich screwing 'em."

Just got home from another great day on the Upper End. Pretty much the same as Monday with close to 50 Specs (17-22"), 2 Reds (20-25"), 2 Flounder (18-20"). All caught on TTF Flats Minnow - Texas Shrimp. All fish C&R'd for another day.
Great fishing with Larry and Pat again.
Can't go again until next week as our honey do's will keep us retired folks busy[emoji41].
Wished this weather would hang around for a while longer.. Honey do's wouldn't get done.
