I took a little ride around BV yesterday after work and couldn't get under the bridge from the high water. BUT, I did take a look at west bay and the water in my area, Surprisingly the water color still looked fair and I did see some reds tailing in a close by marsh. The kayak guys are going to have an advantage if there arms don't give out from paddling against that wind. The run across the bay to weigh in should be entertaining and soggy. I can handle the wind the rain the waves, BUT NOT THE LIGHTNING! I got struck about a two months ago while drifting. Didn't take a full jolt but definitely lit me up and scared the crap out of me more than anything. So if we get lightning I guess I just made a 160$ donation to the tourney cause Im staying on my dock and fishing. Look forward to seeing everyone's catch and maybe pick up some tips from some of you. Good luck tomorrow everyone and be safe. Your safety and the safety of your boat mates is priority one.

May be better to trailer over or throw fish in cooler with live well pump or better yet oxygen to get here. Don't want you to have to fight a run back across the bay if storms pick up. Play it safe

Looks okay right now, catch them early back in by noon probably the game plan for most.

55 anglers are out battling for top honors. Not a bad turnout considering the weather.

Good luck to the champs fishing today. Wish I could have made this one, but not in the cards! I foresee Robalo cleaning up at the raffle!

We fished the tournament yesterday. The first part of the day was nice, but after 11 or so got really wind and wet. The ride back from Chocolate was 2-3'. We went airborne a few times in the 20' Blue Wave. Fished Eckert Bayou, Maggie's Cove, Snake Island, Chocolate and Terramar on the way back.

Caught 1 undersized flounder, 2 undersized specs and an unidentified long skinny fish with big teeth. It was definitely an adventure.....all for a good cause.

Did anyone catch the 2 slot reds to win first place?

Our's was an adventure for sure. Started at Snake Island Cove as well. Caught 6 trout to 21". 1 16" flounder. Went north to Green's Lake...finished at Carancahua Lake. Ride back to JB was sporty to say the least.

Couldn't buy a redfish. Good times all the same.
