  • Happy Birthday General Lee!!!!!

We forget sometimes that today was once a Holiday as it is Robert E. Lee's birthday. First the holiday was known a Lee's birthday then later it was know as Confederate Heros' Day but it has been forgotten by most.

I for one have not forgotten, so this evening as I do every year, I'll raise a glass of JD in salute to General Lee and all the Heros of the Confederacy!

In my opinion, the finest American to ever live. Thank you General for your service to us, and thank you for the example you set for all gentlemen to follow. Deo Vindice.

I am looking out my window in downtown Houston and wondering why there aint no parade for R.E. Lee like yesterday had for that other guy? Lee certainly fought for rights.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Once upon a time there were parades on this day, but that is before the liberals let us know how wrong we were........

Back in 1996 or 1997 I was working Grimes County (County Seat is Anderson) and the 19th fell on the Monday that was also MLK Day. The Courthouse was closed that day in celebration of "Confederate Heros Day" (as opposed to MLK Day). At the time I just thought it was a rural county being obstinate and not wanting to recognize MLK. Now I know the whole story.

There is a strong group of of the Sons of the Confederacy up in Grimes County. I bought a $100 brick in their wall memorial in Navasota or Anderson in about '99 because the guy I was trying to buy a mineral interest from up there put it together.

p.s....... Just hope that Brown can win that Senate seat today in Mass and break that 60 vote super majority; and that will thwart alot of this b.s. being shoved down our throats at will.

I didn't go KA, even though I got a bid. I didn't think they were sincere enough at that chapter.
