  • New to site, glad to be here

Grew up fishing West Bay, maily the lakes Greens & Caranchua. Glad to see this site come around. Looking forward to the info sharing. Was part of the West Bay Hilton fishing camp (west camp on the cut) until the storm hit. Since then, with family stuff & work just can't seem to shake away.
Planning on retiring this year so I can use the boat more (18' Kenner tunnel hull).

Welcome aboard! Sorry to hear you lost your camp. I've loved and lost 1 camp, and Ike took about half of the one I'm in now, but with the help of my friends here, it's coming back together nicely. You'll fit right in here.

Thanks for all the welcomes, yall. Really do miss going to the "camp" & all the BS with it. After my mom passed going on 3 tears, my dad & fishing partner (imagine that!) moved to Sun City to be near my sister. Been trying to take the grandkids fishing, but they're busy with their own stuff. Maybe I could hook up with some one on this site to go once in a while, somewhere outside of the back lakes to learn more of the bay proper. No trolling motor, just a poling ploe, rusty at that...

Man, you can always come to my camp, but until it's all fixed up, I have to charge labor as an admission fee.

Welcome aboard from me also. My old man is wanting to bail the coast for Sun City also, what is it about that place? Look forward to seeing you on the water.
