If I get caught I just acted lost and confused. If it escalates I acted scared and disoriented. That's the great thing about getting old you can just stand there not say anything and act stupid. Works for me. Worst case they write me a ticket and I just repeat act in front of judge w/ a lawyer.

You best be careful because the fines are not pretty. Fences are built for a reason-to keep people that do not belong on the land from entering. If it was your land and some folks trespassed, you'd be mad-trespassers don't respect property rights, generally leave a mess because they inherently don't respect laws/rights. Jumbile is a good example. The folks that own that land are nice people, pay a sheeetload of taxes and run cattle to maintain an Ag Exemption and people ruined their fences and trashed the land. Fences aint cheap and climbing over them causes damage and can lead to cows/livestock getting out.

Stray off private property and respect property rights or you are a disrespectful person and likely are a potlicker as well.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. You can go to the GLO website and find what is navigable and what is not-also you can easily google search the definition in Texas. Manmade Canals made out of private land are private if wanted to be kept that way-barbed wire across a canal is a prime example. Then there's the new case law by the California real estate investor (beotch) about owning beachfront. So if wired off, I'd bet it is manmade and private land.

Also, you have Homeland Security to deal with and new 'laws' after 9/11. I got pulled over in my boat in yacht basin because Mona wanted a pic of the cruise ship, the sheriff's boat pulled up and told us no pics and to leave the area. Legal for them to do-probably not-getting into an argument with the sheriff, not a good idea unless ya want a free stay in the Graybar Motel.

In Texas, youre supposed to know where you are. Just because there isn't a fence doesn't mean youre not trespassing; you are.

Try Dat! Heck, most land in east Texas aint fenced, but see what happens when Bubba and Cletus catch your azz on their land. Think about banjo music and a Bert Reynolds Movie called "Deliverance". Does the saying "My you sure have a purdy mouf" send a signal to your brain?

Sounds to me like this is technically not a navigable waterway. I had a similar situation where I found a sweet duck hunting hole off the bayou and it had a four foot waterway in it and the owners had put concrete and tires in the middle to keep people out. We hunted it anyway and eventually got caught. Luckily they just let us leave on our own. To me it is not worth it when you can fish elsewhere.

....unless the Law has changed if you are able to paddle into the area and it is affected by tidal movement you can legally fish there. Just DO NOT leave your vessel and set foot on the ground while you are back there. Many years ago a friend and I used to fish the marshes in what is now Harborwalk that we could only reach by boat. There was some DPS officer that would sit there and watch us just waiting for the moment he could catch us getting out of the boat. Never was able to bust us as we watched the tides and never became stranded back there.

That doesn't mean the folks at king Ranch won't arrest you-or anyone else that makes a claim you are trespassing.

Hunting and fishing I've found are viewed as 2 completely different things... Try going up into Halls bayou ranch club land connected by navigable water... I've been approached by a guy wielding a sks (semi auto ak47)
