Here lately all you see anymore is a bunch of BS on here. Is this even a fishing site anymore? We have these stupid roll calls, 5 word threads(WTF is That?), something about roasting a pig, someones selling a truck, cooking crawfish, dancing and singing at the isle bar. Seriously ????? Do any of you actually ever fish? This may tick off a few of you but maybe it can get some real discussions going on FISHING! And if not OHH well.
Ill start,
So I went out sunday, used several variations of steve browns broke backs which have now become my all time favorite trout lure, and I would be happy to help instruct ANYONE on how to use them. Because of the gin clear water I have been mainly throwing a clear with chartreuse/silver insert and tail, Been nailing the trout in anywhere to 2.5'-4' of water over mud and shell. there is a lot of seagrass or witches hair is what I call it, but if you work the lure correctly it wont affect you to bad. Find yourself a shallow shell bank with a few drop offs, make long casts with this bait and retrieve very slowly keeping it about 6-8" off bottom, a slight twitch between pauses and the lure will literally do the rest. Before the wind got out of hand I boated 5-18" and 3-21" and lost one big fat girl that struck when I was taking a drink of water. I do have to extend out an apology to a group of men in a boat I accidently crossed in front of while they where wade fishing I thought they where anchored up... major brain fart, I do apologize I got myself in a bad spot on my drift and had to make a call, tick you off or get some gel coat work.
