  • Crawfish

Just ordered my first sack of the year for Saturday. Going to boil 30 lbs and see how it goes. I heard the season is supposed to be a lot better than last.

I called Boyd's on the Dike & Red Tailz out of Dayton, closer for me to head East so that's my plan. Red Tailz has some of the best crawfish I've tasted or seen in awhile. They sit in a purge tank for some hours before getting sacked, very clean bugs.

I'm also excited to take possession of my crawfish cooker.

something similar to this but with casters.

Be cool to have another pot to dump them in and soak while u boiling another batch , but that means your using double the seasoning to ?

that's what you were talking about. you would have to dump them to cook more. probably best to just keep using 2-3 pots and rotate leaving them some soak time.

Best to use that thing as a steamer and then use your staging pots. Lurefisher , I can show you this trick once the price drops. I run one similar on all my catered events.

Enjoy the bugs and the new burner Coe!

I have heard you are the man for cooking bugs. I am more old school, just started this method last season. More of an all around cook for everyone, but I like my old technique for the real heat.
