Lowrance Elite 5 hdi problem

I installed a gold sd card in my 000-11145-001. When I turn it on the sd card symbol shows in the bottom right corner of the screen. The alarm message pops up saying to press enter to continue. I pressed enter several times over a five minute span and nothing happens. the screen never changes. It like it is locked up. Can you please help me hget past this stage. thanks

Did you accidentally flip the little switch on the back of the SD card? It locks it and prevents reading? Something to look at before you take it in...? I have no clue other than that & second tech support.

checked sd card. no problem there. Guess I need to call tech support

I have a not quite 3 year old Navionics Western Gulf chip that just quit working. Navionics has a one year warranty, so I'm out $200. and am back to a very basic chart. I never thought about the software becoming useless when I purchased it.

Yes. I just bought it new. The Lowrance and the sd card.I don't know if i can go to files or not. I will check tomorrow. If I can what do i need to do after going to files? Thanks

Lowrance siad I needed to install upgrade. but My Lowrance Elite 5 dhi will not start the update when I turn it on. I downloaded update to sd card and nothing happens when I turn the unit on. Help Please. Thanks Lowrance is closed 24th and 25th :-(

Was your SD card 2GB or smaller?

Plug your SD card into your computer and open the file. Do you see anything on it. Just checking to see if it loaded.

its 4GB yes it shows Elite 5.0-4.0-5.0-17-29417-r1 Standard-1-ugd 16.8mb on sd card when I open it

Well I'm stumped then.
I know that I read somewhere on the website it said " use 2GB or smaller on updates"
