Midnight Lump...

Have any of you chartered an overnight boat to hit the lump? February is the prime month and wanted to look into chartering one the larger boats for 6 to ten folks for two days minimum...

If yall have done this let me know...if you know who I should contact also please let me know

I'm thinking you have to be talking about going out of Venice. How long of a ride would it be from here? Can't even imagine the fuel bill on that one.

We fished it in a SKA kingfish tournament about 3 years ago out of Fourshon(sp?) and it's really not that far. If I remember right it's only like 30 miles out.http://baitntackle.net/lump.htm

We did it with reel peace and Capt Deviln back in 05'

Was a little dissapointed, as the bite had not started yet on the lump in December, and he still took us .... we kind of felt like he was using us as an exploration trip .... oh well lesson learned ...

If I were to do it over again, I would contact Eddie Burger, he is always on fish, and can take you on a cat or a fast boat with trips .....

Sounds if you should of researched the bite the dudes are good every time i have been ,One time they told us to reschedule do to the fish not showing up yet. That would be like aqua pimp telling me naw dude i didn't catch any yesturday we don't need to go.

Who wants to go???? Got room for 2 more people...I fugure at around $1000 for the boat, split four ways...drive out the night before, fish, drive back...
