Met up with 007 at Sylvan Beach and launched about 6:30 today. Ran all around working birds and gulps over shell.
Not long after getting into the birds 007 hollers they're here.. So I cast out my 4" New Penny Gulp shrimp, not long after it hit the water bam fish on! I couldn't tell what or how big but it put up a fight. I got the fish to the boat and she surfaced. I told 007 to grab a net because I wasn't gonna flip this fish in..
After 007 netted the fish and brought it over we measured and weighed it. 27 inch trout at 7# even.
I tossed the fish in the cooler and had to sit down because of all the excitement while 007 fished on.
Not long after 007 boated a 25 inch 5#er. So my dad throws a lure out after watching all this, and he hooked up. When he got the fish to the boat it was a 22 inch red.
Soon after the bite suddenly stopped it was then 7 am and there were two trout in the box and a red. So we packed up and shot outta the place.
We ran over to a deep hole and my dad was first to cast. He hooked up and bent the rod at almost a 90 degree angle. My dad played the fish left and right on and off for about 7 minutes. I standing at the helm grabbed the net and netted the fish. Measured it at 27 7/8 inches. That was the only fish for that spot.
We took off and found some more birds working and got into em, left and right trout ranging from 15 to 19 inches, soon producing a two man limit. Then my dad lands another 25 inch red.
We ran out in search of flounder and soon landed 2 flounder. A 17 incher for me and a 19 incher for Mike.
So tally for the day is 25 fish.
20 trout
3 reds
2 flounder
Good trip bud!

I dont always go fishing but when I do I prefer Capt. 007
