Wow, what if it was you hanging onto a rod or gig with a flounder that size ? They are so strong anyway , let alone a monster like that. Maybe a little scared and surprised to say the least.

I'm not scared!! I can do that 13 pound thing no porblem!!!

Well, maybe not, but it sounded good to say. My Galveston best is only about 6.5-7. Had a customer catch one that we should have weighed, had a baby drum and a finger mullet in it that would have added at least a pound to the weight. Fish was almost 25 inches plus the extra!!

What's your personal Bryan? I know there are some giants in your neck of the Bay..

Bout how it was. You should've seen all them vietnamese salivating all over my cooler. Fish never put up a fight, or knew it was hooked...just about the craziest fishing story I have.

Biggest I caught was 27"

Caught it under the SLP bridge .... before light

Had a limit that day, and did'nt realize how big it was unitl I came in...

It would not fit in my cooler, and it's tail hung out

Biggest that I have ever seen followed a 51MR19 all the way up over a big drop that was there at SLP back in the late 90's. Fish was scarry big, like over 30 inches. She never even attempted to eat the lure just gave it a good sniff. When I saw her with her nosed pressed against the lure I almost took off running in fear!!

Here's two of my best, the sunset was in Starvation, date is correct. the second one came from a very shallow and muddy, did I say MUDDY! marsh, that shall remain undisclosed for eternity. That was in 04 if I remember correct.
