September 26 I will turn 65 ( Egad ) so I went on line to register with Medicare . After entering my social security number and other required information the process was haulted by a statement in red stating that my information doesn't match . I retried twice and was rebuffed in the same manner . A Medicare broker entered my information with the same results . Today I called the social security office and gave my information and was accusingly told that the social security number I gave was not mine . An ackward silence followed as I digested the firery reply . After stating that indeed my information was correct , she put me on hold then came back saying she was sorry and that they were having computer problems . She evidently had gotten one of the IRS Lois Lerner broken computers that erased all her emails and now it was expunging me from federal records . I have to appear tomorrow at one of their offices with my birth certificate and photo ID . So , I'm wondering to what person has my social security payments into the system for all these years has been credited to ? I'll tell them I will settle for $ 1 million lump social security payment because that's what I estimate that sum to be and I'll let them off the hook . Right . A couple of months ago I had to go in person for a new drivers license . My middle name was misspelled in their records . Isn't the ever growing federal system an exciting fun filled maze to negotiate !

I arrived 25 minutes before they open and the friendly SS people are outside offering water and helpful advice .. Like " don't speak unless spoken to " , " keep your hands where they can be seen " , and such .

To get better service and to get out of the guv agencies its best if you do the following to prove to them that you are old and worthless and deserve any entitlement that they may offer and get a speedier exit.

Get up to go pee every few minutes.
Pass gas constantly.
Lose your glasses.
Take your hearing aids out and adjust them so they whine real loud.
Wear your house shoes and shuffle your feet.
Scratch where you aint suppose to.
Be obnoxious and swear you don't understand.
Play and talk with any kids or babies eat candy and gum and try and make em cry.
Whistle and cat call the nicer younger ladies.
Make faces and stare at the older women.

Hey, just try getting your SSCard changed from your nickname that you had it changed to in the 1960s by just a phone call because now your TDL expired and no renewal until TDL database and SS Database match and your passport was expired so you do not have any valid picture ID and at the SS Office ya get a Asian lady that barely speaky engly and no unnastan that "Jerry" was short for "Gerald" and she calls her supervisor over, they discuss for 10 minutes and can't fathom that SS office would change name by phone 45 years ago. If I had a gun, there'd be dead folks all over the place. Only took three months to get fixed-had no TDL, an expired passport that I couldn't fix and was fun with flying through airports with no valid ID.


I suggest you just lock and load when ya go-jail is prolly less painful overall than dealing with Gummint "workers".

My initial contact kept asking me to repeat my SS number . I showed him my SS card ,birth certificate , drivers license . He disappeared . When he came back he said another person has the same SS number and to wait in the lobby for my name to be called . He said they need to sort out my work history so my SS benefits can be calculated . I have a bad feeling about this . I'm at the Stancliff / 59 location . On the bright side I did win a door prize for being the only native born person here ... A English/Spanish dictionary . I think they don't want to deal with my ptoblem and are waiting until they close .

Ok ..., nice , competent young man dredged up my entire work history . 1968 was the first entry . They figure a typo involving the last digit of our SS number was the problem .. His is 8 , mine 0 . Now I'm waiting to get registered for Medicare .
