Texas Shark Charter Best and Worst. What Have You Experienced?

I haven't posted much here in, but I want to get a feel from all you fellow anglers out there. I'm going to start looking for some shark fishing charters for the weekend of labor day with my fiance and brother, since it'll be my birthday. Has anyone done any Texas shark fishing charters or know of anyone that has? What was your/their experience like? What have you guys heard are some good captains that provide great rod bending action as well as good company?

If you're targeting sharks specifically I'd look into a jetty trip with one of the local guides. I'll shoot you a pm with a couple of suggestions.
