Please try not to laugh too much but I had this night fishing trip planned for two weeks and then my gF family pops this surprise b day party for her sister on me tonight. I rushed to throw everything in the truck and loaded the gear and kayaks.
Now I'm sitting here at Joe's crab shack on 45 south and guess what?!?! I left 1200$ worth of rods and reels in my front yard leaning against a tree.
I have no rods or reels .
I think I damaged my voice too.
Point is if one of you FWE guys will have mercy on an idiot and lend me two rods (one needs to be spinning) I'll gladly fork over 50 $ for the night, leave you with my I.d. and drop the gear off plus promise to replace anything that gets damaged on the off chance that it happens
Call or text 832 392 1870 if in the galveston area and can help.
I live in cypress so can't exactly just turn around.

I think I sent you a message last night Bruce but who knows, I thought the gas meter in the neighbors yard was a goat by the time I got home at 5:30am.
We got in the water at 11:40 and as I suspected that was the end of the "window" last night.
I went to the mouth of the canal on the outgoing tide and could smell bait fish being eaten big time but only saw small trout in the lights.
I managed one small trout to about 18" after that it was all short strikes and slaps no matter what size , color weight or speed .
All in all I'm just very thankful to Bruce for making it possible for us to still give it a shot instead of turning around and wondering what I might of missed.
And as you all know Bruce is definitely an awesome guy !
