Im looking into getting my captains license, is there a website to do get it done online? Is there a website that is cheaper than another? Just wondering what steps i need to do to get it.

Tax, title, and license about $1,300.
You will need to take the coarse that lasts about a week. Pass four tests on rules of the road, charting & plotting, deck general, and first aid safety. You will need to pass a Coast Guard approved drug screen and be first aid and CPR certified.
Capt. Roy's in Seabrook is who you need to call.

I got mine at Sea School on Egret Blvd in Nassau Bay about 10 or 11 years ago. That place is now closed. I pretty sure Capt. Roys is the only place in town now.

If you have your captains license all you need to do is get a TPWD guide license and enter into a random drug screen consortium. You will need to follow up on what the USCG requires you to have on your vessel.Originally posted by fuzzy View PostComment
